As an artist and architect, Notre Dame has always been close to my heart. The fire nearly broke my heart but it will rise again, better and safer than before.
On our first trip to France in 1994, we traveled from Provence to Paris. In 2008, we returned to Paris, renting an apartment near the Boulevard Mouffetard, a narrow winding street full of shops and restaurants. While I was there, I sketched and drew and when I came home, I kept drawing Paris, working from my photos. This trip also marked the start of my Pointillist drawings. We came back to Paris with 9 friends for 3 packed days in 2012.
In the summer 2019, we spent 6 days bicycling through the Champagne and Alsace regions with friends. What a great trip!
