Travel > Switzerland and Sweden

Switzerland has become an obsession. It started with a trip in 2005 to Ascona and Zurich, another one to Interlaken and Zurich in 2012, and culminated with my husband's sabbatical in 2015, where we used Zurich as a base to travel to some of our favorite sites. It gave me a the chance to see the country in winter, spring, and summer as well as break my leg skiing in St. Moritz. In 2018, we spent a week in Zurich and Interlaken for our 40th anniversary, sharing this wonderful country with our friends at the historic Geissbach Hotel on Lake Brienz. My husband returned to Zurich for a 6 month sabbatical in 2022 and we went again in 2024.

We visited Sweden in 2001, spending time in Stockholm and Visby on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea.
